I want to apply for a coursework scholarship in a university in Melbourne, Au. But, if meanwhile I receive PR in Au ( I already applied for it; I am expecting a result ), I will lose that scholarship? If I wait for receive PR and apply after that, I could lose deadline for scholarship for next year.I am in a vicious circle. Please help me with an advice! Thank you very much! Irina |
| Elfa Member Member # 5 | Posted February 27, 2002 04:04 PM Hi Irina I don't believe you would lose your scholarship if you were granted a PR visa for Australia, but I suppose it would depend on the conditions of the scholarship. If the scholarship regulations stipulate that you must travel to Australia on a student visa, and if your PR visa was granted before the time you were to begin your studies, then yes, you could lose the chance to be granted a scholarship.
