Hi all,

I am in a Third World country. I applied for PR visa 2 years a go. Last month DIMA has called me for Police Clearance Certificate and Health examination. I'm preparing for these but last week Australian Consulate in my country has verified reference letter at one of my previous employers. When I left, HR manager didn't sign the ref. letter but my technical manager agreed to sign on it using company letterhead paper. Unfortunately, when Consulate verified the
reference, he's afraid of HR and answered that he didn't sign. I don't know about the details of the enquiry and DIMA hasn't sent me notice about that yet but I am worry very much that DIMA can refuse my visa because of they think that I lied despite the fact that everything in the ref. letter is true and my manager signed on it.

For now, I realy don't know about my chances to be granted the visa. Could you give me any advice?

Many thanks,

Chang

Hi Chang,

Contact your case officer and explain the situation to him or her.The case officer's e-mail is printed on the request for Medical and police checks.

Hope this helps.
