Hello everyone,

Does anyone know the procedure to obtain the FBI Clearance report for the purpose of AUS PR. I recently got a request from DIMIA.

I am currently in india. I have got the FBI address and also aware of the documents that needs to be send along with the fee.

But it says that i need to produce a "set of rolled-inked fingerprint impression placed upon FINGERPRINT CARDS or forms commonly utilized for applicant".Where do i need this fingerprint cards and how do i make sure it is certified and all..

As anyone gone through this process? kindly do let me know..

Thanks in advance!

Regards
Magesh

Hi

I have been also asked for FBI clearance by DIMA. For this I need to send set rolled inked fingerprint impressions to FBI. From what I know, the procedure for taking these fingerprints is complex and the rate of rejection is high.

Anybody gone through this procedure, please help me.

I am in India and DIMA had been trying to get my FBI clearance through old method of name/date of birth check since February 03. Now they have asked me to get this clearance as per the new procedure.

Thanks

Contact US embassy. Let them know about the situation. There must be some standard way of doing it from outside US. If its not possible to get that service then try to obtain a letter from embassy or try to get copy of official statements which says that such services are not provided to people living outside US. In that case probably Australian immigration will exempt this requirement. But again i dont see any reason why u should'nt be able to get security clearance from FBI. Check their website and email to their concerned department, or if you know someone in US , ask him/her to call them on their 800 number as ask for more info.
