Hi there, would greatly appreciate if anyone can confirm this.

I'm in NZ on a student visa that allows me to work (15 hours/week) and I've had a lot of freelance clients. Said visa is going to expire soon so I am looking for a work permit. My freelance employer offered to write a letter saying that he was going to hire me for at least 4 months. Would this persuade NZIS to give me a chance?

Also, I might have other job offers, but I'm not sure if they are for jobs on the shortage list (Business Development/ Marketing Communications Assistant?). Thing is, I already had a job offer before which officially wasn't on the shortage list, but the NZIS offered to process my application right away?

By the way, I'm a Graphic Designer so I officially fall in the shortage list. It's just that I fulfill different roles that arent exactly specified in that list. Do you think NZIS will give me grief for this?

Thanks!
