There seems to be quite a backlog and the soonest I can get one is 20th August! Do they ever offer appointments sooner if someone else cancels? What sort of questions do they asked (maybe someone that has experience can let me know) -------------------- Mike Zagorski

kash Junior Member Member # 7142	Posted August 16, 2003 07:37 PM dear friend here is an instance where one of my friends has got appointment with embassy on 21 august . he then tried calling them every day to find if there are any cancellations and he managed to get it on 12th august. may be this info is to late for ur situation but it might help others.
mzagorski Member Member # 1700	Posted August 16, 2003 07:56 PM Hi, Well.. US Embassy say to expect 5 days to get passport returned, due to delays they told me that it could now take up to 2 weeks. I really hope it isn't going to take 3 weeks because my visa start date was in July... so Im missing over 1 month of my initial 3yr period on H1B Interview is this coming Wednesday so hopefully things will go well! -------------------- Mike Zagorski
mzagorski Member Member # 1700	Posted August 21, 2003 11:03 AM Had my interview yesterday. Went without any problems. I used Workpermit.com in London to assist with the application process and they were fantastic. My H1B is now approved and i was told to expect my passport back in 5-7 days! -------------------- Mike Zagorski
