One Way ticket

HI,
Not sure if this is the right forum for my question, but i would just like ot know if you can travel to the Uk on a one way ticket using a student visa? or do i have to show a return ticket. Would appreciate answers from persons, who have actually done it or not.

As a student you don't know when you are returning so its logical to travel in a one way ticket I don't see any problem in this. Just my guess tho.

I have traveled with one way ticket many times when i was in student visa, no one will question you.

i was in uk for over 5 years and decided to settle down in India so returned back in jul 2009 without extending my Tier1 visa !!?? although i was eligible to apply for tier1 general...then decided to visit uk in oct 2009 ..my visa was valid till march 2012 ..i had bought a one way ticket and that spoiled everything at the airport - london heathrow.. the officer would have letr me go if had a return ticket but since it was one way he wanted to check my detials!! everything was ok except my company which had issued my visa had declared bankrupt just a month back ..bummer

not sure about student visa but other ones be safe and buy a return tic
