Only First name, No Last name in Indian Passport

Hi,

I have just first name and there is NO last name for me in my Indian passport.
When I moved to UK, I got BRP with only first name but my bank had the last name field mandatory so the put a fullstop "." as my last name, ex: "Himani ."
Now recently I checked my credit history via Experian and it is not showing anything, bank is also not able to check my credit report and hence I am having issue in loans etc. I suspect it is because of my name, at some places it is "Himani Himani" and some other it is "Himani .", can you please advise, what can I do here to get the correct credit report.
