Hi I’m a 20 year old female and have lived in the UK since I was 1 years old. I was granted LTR alongside my mother brother and sister based on our private life in 2013. My brother and sister are both now British citizens and my mother has settled status. Last year I should have been eligible for my settled status but my solicitor was very negligent towards my case when I came to renew my leave in 2022. We put in a in-time fee waiver which took so long to hear back from and long story short through a SAR I found out that the fee waiver was denied in June but I didn’t find out till October of 2022. What had happened is the solicitor didn’t respond to additional information requests from the home office twice so they denied it. Eventually they gave me LTR but I had to drop out of university have been charged for nhs treatment and have no recourse to public funds when I always have. I complained to the firm and now they’re trying to sort it out by putting in a FORM T Citizenship application. But I was wondering if anyone knows any people I can’t get in touch with to get the HO or cover my gap “of overstaying” so I can do my apprenticeship as this obviously was not my fault? The whole thing has caused me serious anxiety and stress the past two years and I have contacted my MP who could only do so much.
