Dual nationality

WHAT COUNTS AS DUAL NATIONALITY? i HAVE A BRITISH PASSPORT, DOMICILED IN UK BUT ALSO HOLD A NICOP CARD (ALLOWS VISA FREE ENTRY TO PAKISTAN) DOES THIS MEAN AM DUAL NATIONAL

So, you are a national of both UK and Pakistan, i.e.- you hold dual nationality.

And, please don't shout.

NICOP cards are issued only to Pakistani citizens.

British passports are issued only to British citizens.

As you have both, you are a citizen of both the UK and Pakistan (both of which allow multiple citizenship).

It is possible to get more than two citizenships. If your child were born in Northern Ireland, s/he would be a citizen of the UK, Pakistan and Ireland, for instance.

Domicile is a completely unrelated concept.

It is the place which a person regards as his permanent home and with which he has the closest ties: it contains a dual element of actual residence in a place and an intention of remaining there permanently.

It is similar to a dual band mobile phone.
