note that there was no SMS tracking sent to me, even though I had to pay for this.
No Taktaal service, even thought i had to pay for this

Now I can relax for a bit, then back to naturalisation, surrender, and then finally OCI, fun times!

From your post, I understand that you have created the application as Tatkal but ended up booking a non-tatkal appointment, am I right?
Were there any issues with this?

I am in the same situation of having created a tatkal application. But in the schedule appointment page when u select non-tatkal option, there are two more locations shown under London jurisdiction(Belfast and another). In which case, there are more chance for getting a green.
So was wondering if I can choose this option and book an appointment but worried if it would be okay.

I have booked in an appointment for july. If by any chance, I see a slot coming up due to cancellation, can I still book the earliest one and send a email for cancelling the appointment which is late that I no longer need?
It appears there is no validation in the system that checks if the same application reference number is used for any other appointment in their system. Or I am not sure.

i guess so, I just stuck to the slot I had, at the end of the long wait i got my documents done
