India Property transfer (Inheritance)

Hi,

I am a British citizen and recently inherited a property from aunt. I had a word with solicitor in India and he is telling me that it cannot be transferred in my name until I get a letter attested from Indian Consulate.

When I checked Indian consulate there are NO appointments available.

Please can someone advice on this. Has anyone got any property transferred in their names?

I have British Passport and OCI.

London goswell consular services appointments are available starting 26th October.
