Kenyan Passport Renewal from London - timelines

Dear all,

I wanted to ask if anyone has had their Kenyan passport renewed from London.

Kenyan High commission in London does not carry out biometric capture for the new style passports so i had to apply for the old style passport which I understand will cease in Sep 2019.

However, I applied in April 2019 and todate (May 2019), the passport has still not been received at the high commission. This is over a year and everytime I call, i'm told the passport has not come, or a reminder has been sent etc. Its the longest I've ever waited! Anyone in the same boat?
