At what time approx the status to approved got changed for you?

Mine was Photo/Signature at Mission Scanned On 01-NOV-2012
so it should grant today as according to your status, and my flight is on 5-Dec. Fingers Crossed!

@welcome321 My OCI status ha changed this morning. so it was super quick. From Granted yesterday to printed today.
Hoping the dispatch of OCI sticker would be the same.

Hi

Can anyone advise me the difference in general processing time for OCI when comparing between postal application and personal submission at HCI.

Although HCI - London website states that they will try to process all OCI applications (including postal) within the published time line of 6 weeks, is it really happening?

I am just checking if the delay is only one week or so, I would better send Part - A + Part - B + Supporting documents + postal orders by post instead of visiting HCI personally carrying cash for 4 applicants.

I was also wondering how much will be the delay if you collect the OCI card and sticker on British Passport if you apply bu post vs, visiting HCI personally. I think it will be a week minimum, but any advise will be appreciated.

Guys, Pls add all applicants' timeline from the day 1, so that others can see how things progress..

I am going to apply for OCI for 2 adults and 2 child.

If I would like to pay by Postal Order (which I think is the only option for postal application and only other option for personal appointment if I don't want to carry cash), is the following arrangement acceptable?

2 postal orders of £250 each and one postal order of £200 each (Total £700)

(Or) I have the only option of paying by 4 postal orders each of £175 each.

Anyone experienced can please help!

i tried to call them whole day but nobody picks phone their .
they replied of my email but they dont give you any info .
my surprise that in this age it took 7 days for post to reach them

My flight is on 05-Dec, Dont really know whether to wait for arrival of oci or apply for tourist visa? any suggestions please? Any one know how long is taking for tourist visa at london or birmingham?

Looking at others OCI timline, I think you would get the OCI docs at London in 10 days..

Tourist visa will take only 3 - 5 days from the date of appln if you apply at one of the VFS offices..

Take as 1week ! By the time everything done .dont rely on Oci card .i have to reschedule my flights because of it .
Depends where u live keep at least 5 working days for in person visa application.
The high commission doesn't help for Oci .i tried calling whole day yesterday nobody picks and the email reply is in one line .
