Did anyone go to HCI in person to clarify what's going on?

It's painstakingly slow and on top of it no response to emails despite emailing the High Commissioner himself Dr Bhagwati. I heard he is a man of action but looks like he is no different from other officials and enjoying the power the job brings with it.

Anybody whose OCI has been granted after 01/03/2013, got thier documents printing status updated?

Mine has been granted on 07/03/2013 and still waiting for the documents printing status.

My docs finally got dispatched today from Delhi. Printed on 19th march and dispatched on 21 march.

part of me makes me think that the whole process is just make money (and probably coupled with typical inefficiency). Fail to understand from "Granted" to print and dispatch why should it take so much time? The only positive thing I can get from this is that hopefully this will be the LAST time to deal with HCI!

Not.printed yet. Look like, it will be printed on Monday or Tuesday. As per all other getting their.

I applied for my daughter in person at CGI Birmingham. My timeline is as below:
Applied : 24/12/2012(in person at Birm)
Photo/Signature Scanned:16/01/2013
OCI Status: Granted 05/03/2013
Printed: 22/03/2013
Despatched: Not yet

Hopefully will get despatched in the next couple of days and expected at Birmingham within next 7 - 10 days
