Passport reissue for a tourist in UK

Hi,

My mom is an Indian national currently in UK in a tourist visa and we would like to apply for a reissue of passport as it is expiring. Is there a way that tourist in UK apply for passport reissue?

For how long has she been in the UK?

Usually embassies don't offer passports renewals for tourists. She needs to go back India to renew her passport.

Best to check with VFS what the procedure is. When does the passport expire, and how long is the visa valid till?
