Reverting spouse surname on Indian passport

Hi Sir/Madam,

In marriage certificate, I have added my surname as my wife's surname for After marriage name. I thought it is necessary to add this name itself in my passport as spouse name when I am renewing my passport on hurry. Now my wife's name has my surname instead of her surname on my passport.

Now she has to change her name in her passport as well. Looks like this will go further & she has to change all her govt & educational documents. Is it the case ?

Or can I revert my wife's surname in my passport? What is the procedure? Please help me.
