Hi team,
Apologies if I am being naive - can we do renunciation and OCI application together?
No - you need the renunciation documents to attach to your OCI application.

It’s strange that they are taking appointments for OCI but not surrender of passport. I have emailed the embassy and VFS, but no reply.
Anybody got any updates?

Exactly! That is really stupid of them. Should start with surrender of passport too. I sent around 4 emails, no reply at all. Not sure when are they going to start the visa service and surrender of passport. Keep us posted, if you hear anything from them. Thanks.

Hi, any updates on Indian passport surrender to start the OCI application process? Has anyone heard anything from Indian High Commission on when they are going to resume services?

Thank you,
A

Has anyone heard anything on surrender of passport? It appears that appointments are available for OCI and not for surrender?

If you don’t mind sharing, what time did you try for an appointment? I’ve been trying through the day and haven’t found availability anywhere

Keep trying constantly. It does open up Friday afternoon, but also at some random times. I booked mine Thursday 7.30 pm.

Hi Everyone

Given its hard to get access to a copier in Covid- 19. Does anyone know if the following is actually required

Self-attested photocopy of Indian passport (All used pages)

Also are there any facilities at VFS for this?

Nikhil

Has anyone managed to get an appointment for Surrender passport in either London Hounslow or London Goswell in October? I have been trying for the last 3 weeks but no luck. Any help / suggestions / guidance would be appreciated.

The appointments are open on Fridays between 3.30-5.30pm. Mostly they release the slots at 4.30 pm.

Hi,

Since the VFS and consulates are shut until Feb 2021, is it possible to surrender the Indian passport via POST?
or is it mandatory to visit in person?

Also, I found a couple of different links to apply for it, can someone who has done the application previously give me the correct link?
