Visit Visa or OCI

Hello all,

I am in a bit of dilemma, my children's OCI appointment is on 28th October, and i have to travel with family on 23rd December for my brother's wedding, and it's really important.
Given the current situation nowdays i'm confused whether i shall apply for the OCI and take my chances, or apply for the visit visa that normally would take around 2-3 weeks to arrive.

Love to hear people suggestions in this case what shall i go with ?
