Overstayed in US by 18 months - wants to come home to UK

Post by sgn » Sun Dec 10, 2006 9:01 pm

My friend went on holiday to America but ended up staying for 18 months.
She now wants to come home to the UK but is worried about what will happen at the Airport in the US when she leaves.

I am not an expert, but I don't really think immigration officers even inspect people who leave the US. Every time I travelled outside the USA the only person I dealt with as far as immigration went was airline representative who took my I-94.

Wait for expert advice.

I-94 do get filed.
So the extended stay or a lost I-94 will be seen on next visits.
Also do when there are more visits than what they think appropriate ...
so it will get noticed.
