P45 - Lost

Post by nineteen » Thu Sep 09, 2010 11:15 am

Hi P45 lost in post, on contacting to employer they said one copy goes to HMRC. Does any one know to whom I should contact to get details.

What documents/copy/details should i request with HMRC. I got p60 from current employer in april and in this P60 there is no information of my previous employment/salary.

what documents will caseworke be asking for ILR in regards to previous employment other than bank statements and payslips.

Thanks.

Do you mean Employment History?

Since I did this, I got a bit of practice.
Go to the HMRC website and call the helpline.
Its important to have the NI number ready.
You can request the officer to send your employment history ( giving the details that you want- like start date, end date, NI, taxes etc etc).
I got a letter within 5 days from them with all the details that I asked for.

Besides, the employer should be able to give a P45 ( not sure if its always the case, but mine did).

Hope this helps.
