Passbook as proof of MAINTENANCE FUNDS

Post by lovepeace+ » Fri Mar 19, 2010 1:29 pm

Hi!

I filed my tier 4 student visa application last month, feb 2010 and have not received the decision yet.

I have submitted my original PASSBOOK as proof of funds and nothing else, no bank statement nor bank certificate.

Do you think the Entry Clearance Officer will accept it and grant me a visa? I know I followed the 28-day policy and I have sufficient amount of funds in my personal savings account. I am just worried if I should have submitted a bank certificate along with the passbook.

Please I need any input on this matter.
Thank you very much in advance!

Anybody who has heard of or is in a similar situation?

Please reply if you know of someone who submitted his/her PASSBOOK only as proof of funds and was granted a visa?

Thank you!

don't worry to much as the original passbook is an official bank document you have and since you followed the rule then there should be no problem (I am assuming that you have the required funds in your account). Am I right on this?

Thank you Markie for posting a reply. :D

Yes I have in my personal savings account the required level of maintenance fund. My agent adviced me on this and such.

Its now April and I still havent heard from the British Embassy. Its been almost 2 months. I lodged my application 2nd week of Feb. I hope to receive their decision before the month of May.

Im worried that aside from the passbook they would need bank certificate or some letter from my bank as sort of supporting document.

I am not sure if the required documents to be submitted for Tier 4 student visa include original passbook and bank certificate/statement or just either of the two?

Again thank you for the input! Hoping for more posts
