passport data page.

Post by Rayking » Wed May 28, 2014 6:37 pm

Please need your advice, is it only the passport data page one needs to submit or all the pages even if the passport hasn't been used at all?
I find no place where it's stated passport must be certified, would this be an issue if I don't?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Your passport pages need to be certified by a solicitor. In most cases the biometric page should suffice, however it is known that a number of applicants have been refused in the past because they failed to send page which showed they had travelled to meet their spouse/finance Others have been refused because they hid pages which had refusals of visa to a third country. To be on the safe side, I would personally send all pages, hence leaving no doubts in mind of ECO

Thank you for that, better to listen than face refusal on such trivial stuff.

I sent the pages with entry stamps for my husband's country in both mine and my son's passports.
As you say, nowhere does it state that copies must be certified, however I did it just in case. Saying that I know a fair number of sponsors who did not and there were no issues.

Thank you sohopeful,it's just crazy that even if one is a born British or naturalised one,one still goes through all this madness to marry who you want!I don't think people from EU have to go through this in having their partners with them?
May be if we immigrants have voted we wouldn't be in this kind of institutional discrimination and govt deciding who we marry, all these stupid laws is simply to say,you must marry someone within.why?Got no choice, will just wait till I can get it right.
Thanks so much.
