Passport for baby

Post by samW » Sun Dec 27, 2009 8:02 pm

Hello Members,

I had a question regarding application of british passport for my baby.

He was born in October 2009 at which both me and my wife already had ILR status.

Please advise what the process is to apply for a british passport for my son .

Do we first need to register the child i.e using the MN1 forms ? or can we apply straightaway for his British passport ?

Thanks,
Sam

You don't actually say where your child was born ..... in the UK .... or outside the UK? Please clarify that point.

Consequently, he's automatically British and may apply for a passport.
