are you expected to sit an interview if you are naturalised recently (a month ago)?

Some first British passport applicants are called for interviews randomly.

Till a few years ago, all first British passport applicants (including those born with British citizenship) were called for an interview.

They have now reduced the numbers that are interviewed, but it is possible that you may be called for an interview.
