passport or ID ?

applying for EEA family permit m husband needs an ID or just he has to send over with his documents his passport ??

Non-EEA nationals will need a passport. A national ID card is only possible for EEA nationals.

it means he just has to show his passport . good because he didnt changed his ID card yet and i thought we might have a problem beacuse of that ( on their passports u can see thay civil status ) .
