Past Earning Query Reg Working Period! Please Help

Post by avwifiguy » Mon Dec 19, 2005 10:24 am

Hello All,

My Question is regarding how HO will calculate my Last 12 months earning period?

I am going to claim 25 points of past earnings[Proofs: Tax document,12months Salary slips,Accountant Letter] along with age<28,experience(25Pts),education(15pts).

I joined in Country A on 8Jan05 for one year contract. After 8Jan 06, I will move to my Home Country and will be jobless for arnd 15 days period (From 8Jan06 -20Jan06),untill i finalise next job.
I am planning to send my application from my home country to HO so that it reaches to them arnd 15Jan06.

1. Will they question my 7 days jobless period of Jan06( that is 8Jan06 - 15Jan06).Or Do i have to cover exact One Year Period like My application must reach to HO on 8Jan06?
2. Do i need to state in the cover letter regading my transit period mentioning jobless period?
3. If it reaches them in between 1 Jan06 to 8Jan06, will i have to mention about my previous job income,as i have joined this company in the middle of the month.

Because Case worker guide for "past earning" says "The period assessed for past earnings is the 12 months prior to the date of application received by work permit (UK) and all the evidence considered must be relevant to that period".

Awaiting for your reply!!!

Cheers,

Hi avwifiguy,

My understanding is if you can submit last 12 months salary slips/income tax document .. that is suffice.. i dont think you need to worry about your jobless for 7 days or so.. it doesnt count becoz you are submitting 12 months salary slips and meeting the criteria to claim salary points.
Mention previous job income only if you are not meeting the 12 month salary slips....

I agree, if you meet the salary criteria I don't think those 7 days will be a problem at all.

Avwifiguy, my appli also covered 12 months and the initial month covers only 15 days as I joined my current employer half way. my 2ct opinion is that so long as the equivalent salary for that 12-month period meets the guidelines then its ok. Stop worrying too much.
