No they do not consider company worth else ease of getting a HSMP would be instantaneous for most with a family business. However they can consider income from self employment in your designated occupation. For example I am a Chemical Engineer and I run a consulting company on Heat Exchanger Design. Any income I derive from this will be considered in the income matrix pursuant to its declaration for tax purposes. I would also submit registration documents and the relevant contracts with my HSMP application to show that this business/work is 'bona fide'. The same principle applies for those with both employed and self employed income from the same/ similar designated occupation.mils wrote:Will they consider ownership of a company (i.e. company worth) as income?
