Skilled Worker Dependant extension while Spouse received Citizenship

Post by psuryateja111 » Sun Sep 21, 2025 6:03 pm

Dear All,
Looking for your advice on this peculiar situation.
I got my ILR in 2021, through 10 year route. At that time, I extended my wife's existing dependent visa on her existing route, i.e. Skilled worker dependent, which was approved and the visa expires in Oct 2025. She will have completed 4 years and 10 months by Oct 2025 and therefore falls short of the ILR under 5 years route.
I am being told that she now needs to apply under FLR (M), and that her clock will be reset for ILR eligibility.

Is there anyone in similar situation? Is there a way I can extend her visa under skilled worker route, though I don't have a CoS anymore given that I am a British Citizen now (naturalised in 2023).

Any help in this regard will be much appreciated. Thank you.
