Penalty -fine

Post by mando112 » Tue Feb 02, 2016 7:46 am

Hi all,

I switched from t2 general to t2 dependent last year.

I was given a fine of £100 with no driving license points.

I did not declare this as it is not a criminal conviction or fixed penalty point.
My application was granted but i need to renew my application once again this year and lawyer told me that fine is seen as fixed penalty point and we declered it.

He suggets that shouldn't impact the outcome but i was wondering to know if this can have any negative impacts?

I simply didn't know a fine do need to be declared.

Any suggestions?

In general terms motoring offences have no impact as long as they are low end issues like speeding etc.
Drunk driving, driving without insurance, driving without a valid licence etc can have an impact.

Good morning,

Thank you for posting back.

I also recall a spot on fine on tfl as my oyster apparently had not touched in. They asked for all of my details and paid the fine on spot. Is that recorded anywhere?

Would subject access request reveal all tickets etc held against me?

Subject Access PNC would be required but I am not entirely sure you can get your own PNC

Been searching on forums for hours and people saying mixed things

Some say declare some say don't

I am not sure what falls into fixed penalty points? Is it only endorsable ones?

I have paid £100 for minor issue with no endorsable points etc

So two questions from gurus are:

If i have not declared this in older application and have in my new application would this have any negative impact?

Is my fine seen as fixed penalty point?

Please help

Anyone please?

All offences are minor and pretty common if you live in london or anywhere in the uk. So many news on how parking tickets is a source of revenue for councils

My main worry is if I have not declared and suddenly have now what is going to happen?

In old paper form it was saying have you had any criminal convictions or terrorism which i did not but since they have introduced online form it does also say civil or fixed penalty points etc
I don't think parking fine or my bike ticket is seen as fixed penalty point

I am just worried i have said before and now i have.

I wasn't aware i should and legal representative told me i should
