peo appointment at croydon and dependents

hi there I had included my wife and my daughter in my ILR application form and booked an appointment at croydon peo for 19th. I was under the impression that as long as i book appointment for all the dependents i don't physically need to accompany me at the appointment, but on the confirmation email along with other points its said bring all your dependents to the appointment. anyone received a similar confirmation? just wondering what to do as travel is quite a issue as we live at belfast.
