Permanent Resident Query

Hello

I am an Indian Citizen by birth and passport. I came here in UK on Work Permit. Then I got married to British (white) Girl. After marriage we deiced to get dependent visa on my wife.

Date of entry in UK : 01/05/2006
Date of Marriage : 15/02/2008

Now my question is when can I apply for Permanent Resident Visa or Naturalization ?

Any help would be appreciated!

I reckon 15/02/2010 and u can naturalise at the same time.

Don't forget the KOL test and the £1500 or so for the HO Office Party.....

Seeing your previous posts, you already have ILR, aren't you?

No its not ILR they just gave 2 years dependent visa.

Also what's KOL test ?

KOL = Knowledge of Life - ie the Test of ur knowledge of UK and English ability.

They won't give you ILR without a pass certificate for the Life in the UK
test. I would suggest you start studying.
Be aware that there are intended changes in the qualifying period for Naturalisation, which if implemented will delay the permitted application dates. (Unless you are actively involved in voluntary community or charity work). ILR may be replaced with a 'probationary Citizenship' visa. Complicated and not due to be put before parliament until later in the year.
