In-Person Application - Payment

Hi,
Wanted to know the way they charge your credit/debit card.
Do they swipe the card or enter the information from the form?

Reason I am asking is because sometimes my card get declined because the way address is entered.

Also just want to be safe. Is there HSBC bacnk near Croydon incase I need to give them cash?

Then why dont you pay by cash, when you know there is an issue with your card.

Problem is that it works with few web site and fails in other web site for som address issue... so it is not consistent. i think it is the way address is entered.

So anyone knows if they swipe or enter the card details?

You card will be placed in the PIN reader and you will be asked to enter the PIN. This is the way that worked for me.

The information you have entered in the application form will be ignored, though they still insist on you entering it for some reason.

If in any doubt carry cash.
