Just go in to Snappy Snaps (a chain photo studio) - they have "UK Biometric" specifically put up on their walls; the photos you take care will 100% conform to the regulations.

snappy snaps is perfect to the milimeter. Don't smile or frown...all such details are laid down in the photo guidance

what do you believe is wrong with the pictures you have sent? If the photos don't meet the guidance your application will be rejected as invalid before it even gets to a caseworker.

'light cream' is fine - if you had it done in the UK in a machine or shop they are usually OK in terms of background.

there's nothing you can do about it now. they are probably fine in terms of the background colour if you had them done in the UK in a photo booth or a professional shop.

am pretty sure I have sent photos with a white as opposed to light cream background and they have been OK - they are more concerned with the size of the photo, that it is recent and that it is free from shadows, hair over face etc. They seem to be less strict on photos than they used to be - unless it is me being more fussy about what I will send. You are probably worrying unecessarily.
