Please Advice

Hi All,
I just joined the forum and hopinf if someone has any idea or been through this situation.
My problem is that I am currently doin MSc, I have finished all the modules and working on dissertation. I have to give one resit in early Sept and then I ll submit my dissertation in the end of Sept. The problem is that my visa is expiring in the end of Oct. Now I am so confused as I was thinkin to apply for PSW after that. The UK BA needs a letter from uni stating that I have completed the course successfully and tht is only possible once I shall get my dissertation result even?? My supervisor said the result might be announced by mid-Oct but I dont know if he is sayin right cuz thats still 'might'. I am so worried and dont know what should I do. Do I need to apply on student extension??Thought I wont have anything left to do as a student and its sucha hassle, they have made student visa so difficult. Or should I wait and watch till mid-Oct. I am so confused. I guess I need to go back ....Can anyone help me ?? and give me a way out.is there any other way ??? Please help!!

U can not apply for PSW as you need confirmation of your results and untill u get the dissertation results you will have to wait. If your supervisor saying that they will publish the results by SEP/OCT then i would not take a chance. At the moment, you have got plenty of time to decide and i think extension will be the best option. If you are sure that u will get your results by SEP then you will have plenty of time to apply. If not then start seriously thinking about getting an extension.

hmmmm i think ur right. I guess I should ask my teacher clearly and confirm me if the results would delay. if that is the case then I shall get an extension till March. Is it hassle to apply for student visa extension. How much money do I have to show in account??
I shall only be workin on my dissertation. So I dont need to show any fees. Besides that How much would I show in my account to get extension.I am seriously thinkin to apply for extension.

you can not apply if you dont have your final FULL results, hence the reason you would need a student externsion (writing uo thesis). Contact you student union/International Office and discuss your situation with them.

If you apply for PSW the you will get rejected and once you got rejected its a hessle to put an appeal in and then go through the appeal process. Believe you me you dont wana go through the appeal process.

So dont apply for PSW until you get your final results and have your letter from uni THAT YOU HAVE SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED YOUR DEGREE

I wud suggest to contact u Student Advisor asap and get all the documents ready to apply in October. U wud easily get an extension as you need extra time for Dissertation and then ofcourse for u graduation. I wud not waste anymore time looking around but to contact the uni and get u documents sorted for u extension.
