Please guide on what tests to take.

Post by Jasmine2011 » Mon May 23, 2011 9:12 pm

Hello,

I need help to figure out what tests my sister in law would need to take when she gives her application. She arrived in the UK in September 2010.
Can anyone please guide me whether she would need to take the life in uk test or citizenship test or any other test. Can she take the tests now or should she take them nearer to her application as there is plenty of time left.

Also, if she needs to take the tests at certain approved centres or anything like that, please advise.

Thanks a lot!!!
Transitional arrangements - spouses and partners
If you apply as a spouse or partner, and we receive your application on or before 17 July 2011, you can demonstrate your English language ability using a test (whether booked or taken) that is on the existing list of approved tests for partners.

From 18 July 2011, only tests on the new list can be used to demonstrate your English language ability as part of a spouse or partner application.
