please help me...

let me first give u the details...i have been on work permit from nov 2004 till april 2006.
then i got my hsmp which is now valid till april 2008
so i guess i need my hsmp to continue till nov 2009 to apply for premanent residency.
ok here is my problem,i am a doctor and according to the new ruling (judgement was today) nhs will not even consider me for post if i dont have visa for the whole duration of the course.i need furthur training for just 1 year which supposedly should start by aug 2007 till aug 2008.i fall short of 4 months(my visa lapses in april 08)
so my query is,is it possible to apply for hsmp extension(3 yr thing)now itself ?that way i get extension till 2010..before that i can apply for PR.
i dont know is this is possible...
any advice please..any other suggestion..but i am really tensed

you can't apply for an extension, until you are due for extension , unfortunately.

is there any other way out?maybe a working holiday maker or something..i dont know....please help

I think you should apply and state reasons with proof, your case will be on its merit. ( You may want to call first)
My 3yr FLR was to expire Jun 2008, in the process of house buying, mortgage coy refused to give me mortgage until i had a minimum of two yrs in my leave, i complained to Home office, i was advised to apply with proof, that it would be dealth on its merit. So i applied in Oct 2006 ( 20 months to my expiry), my application was approved and i was granted a 3yrs further leave from Jun 2008. So now i have FLR till 2011.
