Please please some one help and advice me

I read all guidance notes and information on UKBA website.

My PSW running out in a week. I am sure about my points and confident.

I got confuse about valid passport.

Does it mean passport should be valid upto atleast 6 months.
Because there are only 4 months left on my passport to expire.

If its not on UKBA website and guidance notes should I assumes valid passport is which is not expired at the time of my application.

Please please someone reply and relief me.

Yes, HO recommends that when you apply for extension/ intial visa make sure the passport is valid for more than 6months..

But in your case since ur current visa expires nextweek,, you have to bite the bullet with ur current 4months passport validity and send it to HO, who knows the Caseworker might be kind enough?? because you also do not have nay other way or time to renew the passport n send for visa extension..

I think if its not in guidance notes then its not compulsory?

I am afraid, I think 6months is compulsory.. but since you do not have other choice.. i asked u to give a try.. or call HO and confirm it before you send ur application next week

After reading a lot etc guidance notes and UKBA website I didnt find such requirement.

Then actually I have sent my application this evening.
Please tell me any link which specifically mention this requirement:S

how likely that I can be refuse on only this basis:S

Please please do guide me. If its compulsary requirement and mentioned in guidance notes and I missed that somehow then I am seriously worried :S

well, it is highly unlikely that you will get refused on that basis alone.

What i will suggest is to make an appointent with High commission or in your home country, wherever you are, for new passport. If you get it in 2,3 weeks time then you can send the new passport to HO by filling out change of circumstnces form.

Your application wont be processed until 4th week and this is the period you can utilize to remove this minor doubt.

I guess nervy weeks are coming up for you because of this small thing.

I asked my high commission, they take 3/4 weeks.
So hassling for new passport is worthless I suppose.

Its really strange there is nothing witting about validity of passport neither in guidance notes or in application form.
If they made it compulsory then it should be advised somewhere.
I am still unable to find any piece of information which impose such requirement.

Everything is very clear in guidance notes but nothing mentioned about validity of passports :S
