Even with an umbrella company, your salary would have to be increased to meet the Soc Code... Basically you need a huge raise and a job that is NQF 6.

Try to get the company to sponsor you in an NQF level 6 job with appropriate salary - this would be a promotion:

If the company is keen to sponsor you they must find out how to apply for a sponsor licence themselves, they shouldn't ask you. http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitec ... iew=Binary

Alternateively, try to find another job with a licensed sponsor, you still have 4 months on your visa.

Is your husband perhaps in an immigration category where you could apply to be his dependant?

manci: My husband is dependent f my visa..He came here as a student to do his MBA .Unfortunately he could not be able to finish his course..He recently spoke with his uni and they have told him to pay again 50% of fees to finish the course..According to what you have said..I am afraid my job does not fall under NQF level 6(Quality control microbiology technician)..what is the appropriate salary for this level?

The only jobs eligible for sponsorship from ANY company must be NQF 6 (unless on the shortage occupation list or in the creative sector). Even if you were given a raise in your current role, it does not support sponsorship.

From the guidance:
If you are applying to work in the UK, the Certificate of Sponsorship must confirm that the job is at NQF level 6 (or the equivalent in Scotland) as stated in the codes of practice or in a creative sector occupation skilled to NQF level 4 (or the equivalent in Scotland) as
Tier 2 Policy Guidance (Version 10/2013) - Page 17 of 59
listed in the Tier 2 & 5 Sponsor Guidance, or the job is at NQF level 4 and appears on the list of shortage occupations. This does not mean that you must be educated to this level, it means that the job is at that level. The Certificate of Sponsorship must also confirm that you will be paid at or above the appropriate rate for the job.

Thems the rules...
