pls help

I am a zimbabwe national living in the uk with my wife and 2 children
I have a valid work permit to work as a teacher in a school which is due to expire in August 2006
my wife is also working as a sales assistant
my visa is also due to expire in August 2006
my employers have agreed to extending my work permit and are in the process of making the application.
My zimbabwe passports have expired and i have not renewed due to the length of time it will take to renew
what do i need to do?
and what supporting documents do i need for my work permit extension application and visa application

You need to get those passports renewed as soon as possible ..... however long it takes!

If that means handing in the old passports do ensure that you have a photocopy of all the pages before making the application.

i will apply for renewal of our zimbabwe passports though the situation is impossible with them - at present we are advised it will take 1 year for the passport to be renewed.

Any advice in respect of the work permit and visa application?

I would ask the same question as the authorities will probably ask, how come you haven't renewed your passports beforehand, it's your responsibility?
