Pls Help

Post by fate11 » Sat Dec 10, 2011 3:55 pm

Hello ALL,

A friend's SPOUSE visa expires on the 6th January and the only appointment he got was on the 5th. Would he be taking a risk ? Reason been that if there is any cancellation / event that prevents UKBA opening offices on the 5th,would he still be able to submit an on-time application(ILR) if it arrives on the 7th?
He is really worried about the issue.
Please do give advice.

Thanks

In case, due to any reason he couldn't make up the PEO. He should go for postal application. He can send the application even on 6th of Jan. If he uses Royal Mail the date of posting the application will class as Application date.

He cannot use the PEO service if her visa is expired. This will class the applicant as illegal or over stayer. So if he could not made the PEO, be prepared to send the application by post.
The question is... to be or not to be....

Make sure you send it either Recorded Delivery or Special Delivery...and keep the receipt of posting.
