pls some help on german immigration law

Hi

Im in bit awkward position now and I don’t know what to do I got married 2 years ago in England with my german wife and after married I moved to germany and now im living here from last 2 years and 2 month but recently we are separated and I m so confused of my status here im from India and I have Indian passport with 1 year visa left my visa will expire in 5 jan 2009, can pls anyone help me what should I do I try to find out on different forums somewhere it said I need three years for naturalization or somewhere it said I can apply after 2 years, I went last week to bundesamt (homeoffice) but couldn’t find out anything it seem like they don’t know anything if anyone of you know anything about immigration laws in gemany pls help me

Were you both living and working in the UK when you married? What is the exact name of the residence permission that you have in Germany?

Remember that you are only seperated and divorce takes a long time in Germany.

thanks for your reply man i got written on my passport this (Aufenthaltserlaubnis) with work allowed, can you pls let me know wot are my chances thanks
