Hi wpilr_nov12,

how about this scenario....

HSMP visa issued 17.12.2008
1st entry to UK 30.12.2008
T1(G) issued 19.01.2011
T1(G) valid till 19.01.2014

I was under the impression ( after reading this forum and policies ) that I can apply for my ILR 28 days before completing my 5 years stay (for T-1 G )

Any advice would be greatly appreciated..

You can. You are under right impression. You do not even need to policy for this. Everyone knows about it.
