Points claim for Age in Tier 1 (General) extension

Post by yunusjs2000 » Wed Aug 10, 2011 1:06 pm

Hi,

I have the Tier 1 (General) visa & I am applying for the extention. The application form shows that claim of 20 points for the age under 28 & 10 points for the age 28 or 29 years. My current age is 28. As per the application form, I will get 10 points. But the UKBA point based calculator http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/pointscalculator is giving 20 points for my age 28. I have tried with the different combination in the point based calculator providing my age as 29. But still it shows the same 20 points. Please let me know how to proceed with the point based calculator.

Also please let me know how long will it take to process, if I apply by post for the extension.

Thanks,
Mohamed Yunus

UKBA point based calculator is giving your points for age depending on your first application. SO you should get same point for the age when you applied first time.

Even I am about to apply for my extension. The points calculator gives me 10 points (on choosing extension option in the beginning) but in the form it is opposite.
If you have a look at the form (version 04/11) section G - G1 then it show the points completely different than the points based calculator.
Even I am looking for an answer to this.
