Points for citizenship!

Post by chelseausb » Sun Feb 19, 2023 3:21 pm

Hi, I have so many questions

1. I was only renting a room from my landlord's house, so we don't have a formal rental contract, but a licensee agreement. I can ask him to write a letter for me, but does it count as 50 pts?
2. I was visiting the doctor maybe once a year only, do they count too?
3. My bank statement doesn't show the ROI of the transactions... is that a problem?
4. I stayed for 2 years under a working holiday visa (stamp 1) I know it doesn't count towards the reckonable year for residency, but is that the same case for citizenship?
4. During my first year, I was employed for only the last 2 months... does the P60/employment detail summary still count as 70 pt?
5. My p60/employment detail summary shows I was employed for 5 months when I was only allowed for 3 months (Working holiday rules)... is it better not to show it? Or would they be lenient if I explain that I coudln't find new jobs due to covid restrictions?

I would assume from your transactions it'll be obvious they were done in ROI (Republic of Ireland).

It should count, as there's no derogation.

This may cause issues if it wasn't okayed by ISD, but if you won't show it, they would, probably, still check it. Not sure what's the best way forward here.

Overall, the system was introduced recently and I'd say there's 100 people at most who got approved with it, so there's not much clarity. If you think you have residency, get whatever you have and send it in.
