Police Registration at a New Location

Hi everyone, I was confused about police registration .
I was previously studied at Liverpool, Merseyside for a bachelor degree, already registered at Merseyside Police. During this summer vacation I'm back to my homeland to apply a new Tier 4 visa in order to continue my study in Scotland (leaving UK no longer than 2 months).
Then, during the preparation for visa application, I found my certificate of registration (issued by Merseyside) and began wondering whether do I need to report to Merseyside that I got a new visa and move to a new address at Scotland. Can you guys tell me if I could just register at Scotland's Police sites without notifying Merseyside Police, and whether it's OK to do so? Thanks!
