Police Registration

Post by vinit_tyagi » Wed Dec 02, 2015 10:02 pm

Hi,
I applied for my Tier 2 general visa renewal 2 days ago using premium service. My wife and son applied for their dependent visa at the same time. We haven't received our BRP yet but we got the confirmation letters on the same day. Although my letter clearly says that I will be notified if police registration requirement applies to me, but it is not very clear on the dependents' letters. At one place it says the they must register with the police, at another place it says that they don't need to register and at yet another place it says that they will be notified if police registration requirement applies to them. I am really confused now.
I was wondering if someone's got their Tier 2 general visa renewed recently and faced similar things.
We didn't register when we came here 2 years ago. Is it a new rule to register with the police for tier 2 general migrants?

Thanks,
Vinit
