My girlfriend is currently living in London and wants to move from there to Holland. She is Polish and has asked me to help her find out whether it is legally possible for her to come and live & work here in Holland. I have done a bit of reading on this issue and all the articles I can find online are dated from around last May when the EU expansion took place. These articles suggest that people from the 10 new EU countries can come and work here but only if there are very few or no Dutch nationals available to do those particular jobs. These articles also suggested that this situation would only last a year or so. Its now a year on from EU expansion and I can't seem to find any current info on the situation my friend is faced with. Is there anyone reading this board that has some good advice for me to pass on to her? I would apreciate any info on this, even if its just a link to another site that I would find useful. Thanks
