Possibilities of applying for ILR

Hi! I am on a family visa (as a partner and a mother of British citizens) under the 10 year route.
Is it possible for me to apply for ILR after 5 years?
I have been in the UK since 2007 on a student visa. But I think I will not qualify for the long residency as the HO refused my visa extension in September 2012. So I switched visa to FLR (FP) in 2013. The visa was only approved January 2015.
I have been cohabiting with my partner since September 2012.
I hope you can shed light on this. Thank you.
