Is it Possible.

Post by exub0 » Sun Mar 12, 2006 5:18 am

:?: Hi epople, I've got a problem which has been gugging me for a time. A friend of mine confronted me with a problem which ever since has sent me head over hills.
This is his worry, he wants to seek for asylum in Australia but does not know how to about it. We;ve been on the internet trying to get to the bottom of it, but it has been a little hard to find. We were able to find a file which says one needs to find a sponsor or something of that sort.
My question here is it easy to find one and if so, what are the documents ones needs to provide to attain this level.
Again he is out of his country of birth, i understand one can apply via and Australian consulate or Embassay closest to place of residence. In this will you have to make further concessions or provide verifiable documents. He's from an African country but resides in Asia. Thanks.

It is very, very difficult to do this in Australia and not many people get approvd, most are deported.
Does your friend know he will be placed in a detention centre and held there until a decision is made, or he gives up in frustration and withdraws his application?
Do a google search for Australia Detention Centre and see what pops up.

Thanks Ness, good to hear fromyou. this is the situation. My friend really needs to get out. His life depends on it. So he needs a proposer as the Australian law says. He could a form online but without a proposer it will not be recieved. I'm prety sure life at the detention center is hell. Man, what can one do in this situation?? Thanks for letting us know man. You take care.

Hi could you propose another country where it's possible and easy to seek for assylum?? Please do indicate the necessary paper work needed to do this. Thanks again.

Look, I'm sorry, but I'm not going to help your friend get assylum. In Australia or anywhere. Perhaps he needs to go get some legal advice.

I will repeat tho, seeking assylum in Australia would be foolhardy, expensive, time consuming and pretty harsh. The detention centres are like big jails in the middle of the desert.

I would never, ever do this myself.
