This is a great story. It just goes to show that I feel that the HO appreciates applications where it is their decision to let you stay and not you forcing them to keep you here even if it is for good reason.
Every who is an overstay can take a lesson from you.

Congratulations!
I am not, and cannot, offer legal advice to particular people. I can only discuss general areas of immigration law.

People should always consider obtaining professional advice about their own particular circumstances.

Congrats and wish you all the best. If HO confirms that there will be very good chance for Overstayers to return to UK specially if they have already spent 9 years then I am sure most of the unfortunate overstayers will come back home and re apply the case.

I have two qustions
Which country are you from?
How long did the whole process take ?

BEst of luck again

meaning the clock starts again and I can only apply for ILR after 5 years with a work permit?
Yes, your ILR clock is reset now since you did not have any "legal" stay in the UK before
